Jan was a most kind and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She is predeceased by her parents, Andor and Bertha Hed, and her brothers Ken and Lee Hed. She is survived by her husband of 60 years David, her children Karen Burtch (John Prouty), Amy Condello (Paul), Paul Beadling (Dea), and Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She certainly lived up to her description in the 1962 Charlotte High School yearbook  . . . “She adds charm to everything she touches and happiness to everyone she meets”  . . . and has left a legacy of beauty and love.

Jan met her husband Dave at RIT, School of Art & Design and became a devoted wife and mother and partnered with Dave in their graphic design business, Andor Graphics, and their arts and crafts business, Braddock Bay Gallery, where they did interior decorative painting and participated in many arts & crafts festivals . She was an award winning artist specializing in painted glass. Her wonderful creativity extended to sewing, knitting, crocheting and home decor.

Her spirit lives on. Her family will always feel her life touching ours, her voice speaking to us, her spirit looking out of other eyes, talking to us in the things she created, touched, worked with and loved. She is now wherever we are. She lives on in our life and the lives of all that knew her.

There are many examples of her work on the website here but we will be adding more of her work as well as more about her life.
